Dr. Engle
Expert Dentist Jesse C. Engle, DMD, brings more than 20 years of experience in general, cosmetic, and implant dentistry to Presidio Dental, located in Tucson, Arizona, and serving patients throughout Pima County.
Dr. Engle is a Tucson native who was born and raised in Northwest Tucson. He attended Canyon Del Oro High School and began his professional education at the University of Arizona, where he graduated with honors, earning his Bachelor of Science in biology. The following year, Dr. Engle moved to Massachusetts and enrolled at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Engle excelled in the program, obtaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and graduating with honors.
After completing his education, Dr. Engle was commissioned as a captain in the United States Army. He was first stationed at Fort Stewart near Savannah, Georgia, where he served two years, providing dental care for soldiers while receiving advanced training from expert dental specialists. After completing two years on the post, Dr. Engle was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq, with the 3rd Infantry Division.
Dr. Engle spent a year in southern Baghdad as a brigade dental surgeon, providing emergency dental care for soldiers. He also assisted in running a busy aid station caring for those wounded in combat. Afterward, Dr. Engle returned to Georgia, fulfilled the rest of his military commitment, and was honorably discharged.
The following year, Dr. Engle returned to Tucson and joined a group dental practice. When he was not serving patients, Dr. Engle pursued continuing education in many areas of dentistry. After spending two years with the group practice, Dr. Engle decided to fulfill his dream of owning a dental practice. He opened Presidio Dental in the spring of 2008.
At Presidio Dental, Dr. Engle offers a full suite of preventive, general, implant, and cosmetic dentistry services. He and his team also offer patients access to cutting-edge technologies, including cone beam X-rays and in-house sedation, as well as mercury-free and BPA-free crowns and fillings. In addition, patients can access state-of-the-art tools, including orthodontic treatment with Invisalign® clear aligners and Six Month Smiles®, and 3D CT scanning for implant treatments. In addition, Dr. Engle partners with Dental Creations Laboratory in Oro Valley, which is renowned for its high-quality work. He also works with a trusted oral surgeon to assist patients with wisdom teeth removal.
In 2012, after placing implants for five years, Dr. Engle took his implant skills to the next level by completing an Implant Fellowship over the course of four months at the California Implant Institute. It was at this time that he invested in a 3D CT scanner, which made our office one of the first in Tucson to adopt this technology. 3D scanning allows for safer, more precise implant treatments.
Dr. Engle has a gentle and honest nature that his patients love. He sets aside plenty of time to spend with each patient and develops treatments based on their unique goals and concerns. When he is not at the office or augmenting his professional skills, you can find Dr. Engle spending time with his daughter, Kailey, or spending time in the great outdoors. Dr. Engle is an avid cyclist and competes in events all across Arizona. Meet Our Dental Hygienists
Stephanie
Lead Dental Hygienist RDH
Stephanie joined the Presidio Team in 2014. She graduated from Pima Community College in 2009, where she earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She then went off to earn her Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene at Northern Arizona University in 2011. She regularly attends continuing education courses and enjoys being part of a practice that uses current technology and treatment techniques to improve patients’ oral health. In 2024, Stephanie started training with the world leaders in PRF research to bring PRF in facial aesthetics to Presidio Dental. Her goal is to give patients a natural and chemical free option in regenerative skin care.
When Stephanie is not in the office, she enjoys a very active life with her husband, children, and fur babies. She loves traveling the world, hiking, camping, cycling, reading, and attending concerts.
Ann
Dental Hygienist RDH
A Tucson native, Ann joined our team in 2022, bringing with her over two decades of experience in the dental field. She began her career as a dental assistant in 2002 and later earned her associate degree in Dental Hygiene from Pima Community College in 2011. Continuing her commitment to excellence in patient care, she completed her Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Northern Arizona University in 2017.
Ann is passionate about staying current with advancements in dental care and regularly attends continuing education courses. She values being part of a practice that utilizes the latest technology and treatment techniques to provide the highest quality of care.
Outside the office, Ann enjoys relaxing with a good book or movie.
Shannon
Dental Hygienist RDH
A proud Tucson native, Shannon began her dental journey in dental hygiene at Pima Community College, earning her associate degree in 2010. Driven by a passion for teaching and empowering others, she returned to school to earn both her bachelor's (2021) and master's (2022) degrees from Northern Arizona University. She currently serves as adjunct faculty at Pima Community College, where she teaches and mentors future dental hygienists with a genuine desire to make a lasting difference in each student’s life.
Shannon enjoys a full and vibrant life with her wonderful family, including her daughter—a proud University of Arizona graduate. She's an avid reader, crafter, and gamer, and proudly wears the title of “plant mom.” Her household also includes a beloved dog, a curious tortoise, and a friendly gecko.

Carla
Lead Dental Assistant CDA
Carla graduated from Pima Medical Institute in 2005 here in Tucson, Arizona. She has been with the practice since it opened back in 2008. Carla loves to travel and getting to know the world.

Veronica
Dental Assistant CDA
Veronica graduated from the Dental Assistant program at Pima Medical Institute in 2004 and has been a Dental Assistant for almost 21 years. During her career, she has acquired experience in General Dentistry, Oral Surgery and also spent over 10 years in Endodontics.
Outside of dental assisting, Veronica has a love for wine, music, interior design, photography and enjoys quality time with family and friends.

Cristobal
Dental Assistant CDA
Cristobal was born and raised in Arizona. He started his dental experience here at Presidio Dental doing administrative work, but was then inspired to go to Pima Medical Institute to earn his Dental Assisting Certification. He graduated the program within a year of starting at our office and is currently doing his externship with us here where he is very excited to further his dental journey attending to patients both in the front and at chairside.

Cat
Dental Assistant EFDA
Cat is a dedicated and uplifting surgical and general assistant with over 15 years of experience. She started as a front desk/treatment coordinator and was a surgical assistant for several years in an oral and maxillofacial surgery setting. She graduated in 2009 with 4.0 GPA, perfect attendance and Principals List as RDA and has a certification as a phlebotomy technician. She is always working towards more continuing education courses to excel in all aspects Dentistry has to offer.
Outside of work, she loves spending quality time with her children and husband. She also enjoys traveling, hiking and working out.

Celina
Office Manager
With over a decade of experience in the dental field, Celina brings a deep passion for patient advocacy, smooth office operations, and making even the most nervous patients feel right at home. As an Office Manager, she’s the heartbeat of the practice, balancing insurance codes, treatment plans, and calming vibes like a pro.
A proud Tucson native and devoted mom of six (yes, six!), Celina is the real-life multitasking queen. She somehow still finds time to enjoy her favorite pastimes: shopping, traveling, and cooking meals that would make Martha Stewart raise an eyebrow.
When she’s not running the show at work or home, Celina can be found curating the perfect online cart, planning her next getaway, or whipping up a family meal with flair, and maybe just a little wine.
Danitza
Patient Care Coordinator
Danitza was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She has been in the dental field for about 5 years, where she specializes in front office duties, dental insurance, and treatment coordination. Previously, she was in the floral industry for 6 years as a front office coordinator, then as a floral designer and worked her way up to office manager. She loves flowers and still enjoys making floral arrangements in her free time, as well as spending time with her beautiful daughter and family.
Adelina
Patient Care Coordinator
Adelina is originally from Michigan and has been in Tucson for about 26 years now. She has two wonderful daughters and one amazing baby boy, whom she loves to do fun things like hiking, fishing, swimming, camping, movie nights, and many other quality time activities, even if it’s just sitting around watching their favorite movies and shows together.
Adelina started off in dentistry as a dental assistant. She graduated from Apollo College from the Dental Assisting program. She did dental assisting for about 2 years before she tried her hand at the administrative side of the dental field. Since then, she has been doing dental front office work for almost 15 years. Here at Presidio Dental, Adelina is our Hygiene Schedule Coordinator. She loves working as a team with her colleagues so that we can provide the best patient experience for our patients and they can have a smooth visit from start to finish in our office.
