Quality Care You Can Trust
Glossary
Composite Resins: (White Fillings) – Unlike older silver (amalgam) fillings, composite filling are designed to match the color and shade of your natural teeth and can be virtually undetectable. They are also bonded to your teeth which can result in a superior seal when placed correctly. Additionally, they eliminate health concerns about mercury which is present in silver (amalgam) fillings.
Crowns - If you’re self-conscious about your smile due to cracked, broken, decayed, or worn teeth, we can bring back your healthy, natural-looking smile with porcelain crowns. All porcelain crowns such as “LAVA” or “EMPRESS E-MAX” have the most natural appearance and can be used to replace older crowns that have metal underneath.
Digital X-Rays - The use of Digital X-rays (radiographs) allows your dentist to capture detailed images of your teeth that can be viewed immediately. Compared to traditional film x-rays, digital x-rays have many advantages. The clarity of images is greatly improved, the amount of radiation exposure is reduced by more than 66%, and no toxic chemicals are required to process films, which is good for the environment.
Implants - Dental Implants have come a long way, and today they are often the treatment of choice for replacing one or many missing teeth. A dental implant is essentially a titanium screw that gives you a new “root” for us to attach new teeth to. Adjacent teeth are not negatively affected by this treatment as they often are when a bridge is placed.
Intraoral Photography - The use of an intra oral camera allows us to take pictures of your teeth at high magnification. These can then be reviewed by you and your dentist. These images often show problems with teeth that are not detectable by the naked eye, which allows us to treat small problems before they turn into bigger ones.
Porcelain Veneers - Porcelain veneers can often provide people who have chipped, stained, discolored, unevenly spaced, or even slightly crooked front teeth with a completely new-looking smile in just a few simple appointments.
Tooth Decay and Gum Disease - Your mouth is constantly under attack from two serious enemies: tooth decay and gum disease. The key culprits behind these conditions are naturally occurring oral bacteria, and the products they produce. Regular visits to your dentists and good home care are your best weapons to ensure good dental health.
Whitening - BOOST! Whitening is the next generation technology for in office whitening. It relies on advanced chemical technology that replaces the older Zoom Whitening systems. Independent studies have shown that shining a light or laser on teeth during in office whitening procedures has little to no effect. The treatment lasts about an hour and no light or laser is required, and the result is noticeably whiter teeth.
